Reviews and Ratings
I stayed at the Mayan Secret Hotel Boutique hoping to enjoy the beautiful Bacalar lagoon, but I felt let down overall. While the location is lovely and the pool area is nice, the rooms are in dire need of renovation and the breakfast quality is quite poor for the price they charge. Overall, it was a disappointing experience that didn’t meet my expectations, especially for a boutique hotel.
I chose to stay at Mayan Secret Hotel Boutique for its proximity to the stunning Bacalar lagoon, but I walked away feeling disappointed. While the location near Chetumal is a plus and the pool area looked nice, the hotel itself is in dire need of renovations. The price we paid didn't match the quality of the rooms, and breakfast was simply awful. I couldn't believe the chef scrambled the eggs in a way that was just unappetizing. Overall, it wasn’t worth the cost.
I recently stayed at the Mayan Secret Hotel Boutique to explore the stunning Bacalar lagoon, but I found the experience disappointing overall. The hotel is positioned just outside Chetumal, which is nice, and the pool area is quite pleasant. However, the rooms are in dire need of renovation, and the breakfast left much to be desired. Given the prices charged, I expected a much higher quality across the board.
I stayed at the Mayan Secret Hotel Boutique to discover the stunning Bacalar lagoon but felt that the hotel was significantly overpriced given the quality of the accommodations. While the location near Chetumal was nice and the pool area was pleasant, everything else, especially the dining experience and the state of the rooms, left much to be desired, making for a disappointing overall experience.
I was really looking forward to my stay at the Mayan Secret Hotel Boutique while exploring Bacalar lagoon, but it turned out to be quite a letdown. The hotel is overpriced for the quality it offers, especially considering it claims to be a boutique establishment. While the pool area was nice and the location was decent, the rooms desperately need renovations, and the dining experience wasn’t great either. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing experience.
